Just a acquainted relationship

There are many a times when we try to maintain a kind of non official contact with a person from whom we expect some kind of help at some point of time. Its like having a back door entry in the standard process. It can be in the form of casual "I am alive" or "occasional greetings" kind of communications. But at times it becomes difficult to draw a line on what is "casual" and what is "personal" in such a relationship. It becomes rather more difficult when it becomes unclear if the other person is just trying to maintain such a contact or is genuinely maintaining the contact as a good acquaintance. The problem like is not able to directly clarify it, for if the contact is just a non official "official" contact then you are going over board messing up the relation. If its a genuine friendship you may end up hurting the other person. Rather tricky situation to get it clarified with out blowing it our completely.

Love Letters - Play performed by Rajit Kapur

I went to the Rangashankara to watch Rahul Da Cunha's version of ‘Love Letters’ . The Pulitzer award winning play written by AR Gurney, describes the romantic and poignant relationship between childhood friends Melissa Gardner (Shernaz Patel) and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (Rajit Kapur) over fifty years. The story unfolds through the letters the two characters have written to one another. The play was first performed in 1988. Shernaz Patel is just so amazing in the way she brings the impetuous Melissa. Even at this age she has so much of charm, its a treat to watch her on stage. Her role of the child's mother in BLACK was excellent. Rajit Kapur is a versatile actor who has no boundaries and leaves me spellbound always. Watch out for some bold dialogs which are a signature of all Rajit Kapur plays. A Monologue series by Girish Karnard

I was always fascinated by the concept of monologues. Had heard and read about them but had never seen one. This was i guess the best one i could have watched. The writing of Girish Karnad had always attracted me. Girish Karnard's stories always have three main ingredients. They always have a sense of humour in the stories. They also have some super natural twists and they have a lot of adult dialogs. Rajat Kapoor's performance, the set, the lighting all hold your attention. The narration by Rajat Kapoor brings to life all the characters in the script. Its as good as seeing them on the stage. The second monologue of Girish Karnard i saw was "Bikre Bimb" an Hindi adaptation of its original version called "Odkalu Bimba". This was directed by Girish Karnard after a gap of 35 yrs.
