Fanna - Destroyed in Love - Review

The movie takes all unexpected turns in the first half. The next half becomes equally predictable, leaving you to just watch what you already had predicted. At the end of first half when you start expecting the movie will take a fast pace with some action and adventure, it cancels its self into the four walls of a house, leaving you asking for more.

 

There are a lot of surprise packages in the movie. The child character has done exceptionally well. There are a lot of funny sequences with that child character making you laugh your wits out. A first time attempt to use the old songs in the background to support the romantic sequences has worked really well and is something to watch for. The romance between Rishi Kapoor and Kiron Kher shines in the movie. Tabu's character could have been given some more scope.

 

Amir is back with his shayaris, mostly in the first half, one of my favorites.

 

Humne socha tha ki shayad, hum hi chahte hai tumko,
par tumhe chahne wala to kafila nikla,
Dil ne kaha shikayat kar khuda se,
paar khuda bhi tera chahne wala nikla.

 

The emotions are very well brought out, Is it possible to forget some one whom you loved so much ever? Knowing that that person will never come back. You may not be able to see that person's face ever again, that feeling of void will never get filled. But will it be a scary situation to see that person after a long time, how do you respond to such a situation. Will you be able to see eye to eye, will both of you forget what happened before and the feelings for each other which were suppressed in the cruelty of time, will rupture again? Do you greet each other with a smile on the face or just ignore each other. That's I guess must be left on time and fate to decide...
