5 Point someone & my perception of IIT

I never had been in a hostel before, so my perception of a hostel life after reading this novel has not changed much...its pretty much the same as I had observed in my collage hostel from out side. But this in fact has changed my perception about the IIT institute. First I used to think it was a place where there is no fun or excitement as all the students studying there are book worms. This perception of mine was changed to some extent when I was working for Veritas, Pune where I was surrounded by all IIT graduates.

Well coming to the novel, its really funny at parts and is too filmy at parts. Like the incident where they go to steal the question paper and how they get caught after making a call from the HOD office, either there are some dum people at IIT too or IIT people are not good at anything other than mugging. The story of how Hari makes use of Neha sucks big time...and the heights is she comes back to him, even after all that he did to her. No self respecting person would do that. or is it that "LOVE" is really blind?

I liked the character of Ryan a lot. (More like myself, I guess) but his feeling towards his parents are not justified completely. Alok is missing in some initial chapters, but I feel he is the most important character in the novel. A good script though where there are no loose ends.

Next in queue is one night @ call center by the same author. Chetan Bhagat.

Will be definitely waiting for the movie which is being made on the novel...
