DON - The Chase Ends - Review

Johny Lever could have done a better job....
....In this spoof of the original DON.

It can be said, "Its not only difficult to remake the original DON, but impossible"

The casting is pathetic. Boman Irani is not at all suited for the job nor is Om Puri with is big belly. The camera work is not up to the mark. SRK is aging. His persona has not carried the weight of something as big as the character of DON. The problem with SRK is he can never be called the undisputed star of the Indian film industry till Amithab is around and by the time Amithab exits even SRK's time will be up.

Please avoid the movie if you dont want to hate SRK for the mistake he has done by trying to remake AB's DON.

SRK doesn't even have 1% style of AB to say that "Don ko pakadna..."

was a complete waste of time and money I must say...

Love Letters - Play performed by Rajit Kapur

I went to the Rangashankara to watch Rahul Da Cunha's version of ‘Love Letters’ . The Pulitzer award winning play written by AR Gurney, describes the romantic and poignant relationship between childhood friends Melissa Gardner (Shernaz Patel) and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (Rajit Kapur) over fifty years. The story unfolds through the letters the two characters have written to one another. The play was first performed in 1988. Shernaz Patel is just so amazing in the way she brings the impetuous Melissa. Even at this age she has so much of charm, its a treat to watch her on stage. Her role of the child's mother in BLACK was excellent. Rajit Kapur is a versatile actor who has no boundaries and leaves me spellbound always. Watch out for some bold dialogs which are a signature of all Rajit Kapur plays.
