Aarakshan - Review
First on performances, as usual AB has given a excellent performance. The whole move rests on his performance. If it would not have been AB, it would have failed to hold the screen for so long. Hema Malani is impressive in the special appearance towards the end (ok... this is not a spoiler... it becomes obvious in the starting credits of the movie). Deepika looks good and has done a reasonably good job.
The good things end here... the biggest let down is the script that looses the focus from Aarakshan to private tutions to clash of egos towards the end. First the discussions of reserved Vs unreserved instead of reservation based on cast or economical background.
The argument on evils of private tutions is ill conceived. The cover of bank guarantee is all that you could come up with Mr Jha..? Someone having a private institute is nothing wrong.
The hyped up references to the ill treatment meted out to the Dalit community in a place like Bhopal in today's time is completely...
